Get ready to race in the annual Bayfest Soap Box Derby. Ages 8 to 88!

Derby registration begins at 2pm and start location is at the top of Cenotaph Hill on Front Road.

And here are the Official Rules:

1. Derby open to ages 8 to 88.
2. Soap Box must have a working brake to stop it without assistance or the contestant will be disqualified.
3. Maximum wheel size is 13 inches in diameter (only rubber tired wheels allowed).
4. Maximum Soap Box width is 3-1/2 feet.
5. Maximum Soap Box length is 4 feet for children 8-10 years of age, 5 feet for contestants 11 and older.
6. No bearing wheels.
7. All entrants must wear a helmet.
8. Cash prizes and trophy for the winners.
9. Prize for best decorated Soap Box.
10. Entry form MUST be signed by a parent/guardian, and handed in 30 minutes before race start time.
11. Decision of judges is final.
12. The rules will be strictly adhered to due to liability insurance restrictions.
